Meet the Facilitator

Rev. Dr. Loretta Faye Baker is an ordained Elder in the AME Zion Church, a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, and an ACPE Spiritual Care Professional. With degrees from Lake Forest College, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Black Church Leadership, she brings decades of ministry, education, and pastoral care experience.

A preacher, author, and Christian educator, Dr. Baker is passionate about equipping the church to minister to the grieving. She leads women’s ministry in the Kentucky Conference and Bardstown District and is the author of Transformational Grief in the Book of Job. Through LFBaker Grief Care Ministries, LLC, she offers biblically based studies, workshops, and courses to bring comfort, healing, and hope.
